Why did I create this Blog? Because lately I've discovered some new cafes in Dunedin, and so far I've loved all of them so I'd like to share. A couple of them are in an area of town that if you didn't know they were there you wouldn't get to try them and believe me they are worth a try.
Dunedin is a city with a very long main street and to quote the All Blacks coach, "It's a Game of Two Halves". The original end, Princes street, was abandoned when the malls were created in the George Street end and the existing business relocated to George street or disappeared altogether, so what was left was empty buildings slowly becoming derelict. Except for a couple of notable exceptions, one of which was the beautiful building that housed the notable restaurant Bell Pepper Blues, it held out for as long as it could and then finally closed but that building, although the ground floor now empty, with apartments upstairs, is still beautiful.
However lately some of the existing buildings have been restored and there has been some new businesses appear along with a couple of new cafes, I thought it might be fun to create a blog and share my opinion and hopefully you might try them for yourself, because it's always worth trying something new.
